Ian Ramsey Church of England School occupies two main buildings, known as North Site and South Site, on a single campus. The school is surrounded by extensive grounds, which include 2 rugby pitches, 2 soccer pitches, a hockey pitch, 6 tennis courts and a cricket square. Indoors we have 2 fully equipped gymnasia. Our swimming pool is situated in the main Sports Block. Newly built changing facilities provide individual showers and lockers for pupils.

We have 9 Science laboratories, and specialist accommodation for Music, Drama, Art and Technology. Most classrooms have an electronic whiteboard. ICT (Information and Communication Technology) facilities are spread throughout the school, and in addition there are several specialist ICT rooms.

The recently extended Learning Resources Centre is well used by pupils throughout the school day and after school. The Centre provides books, periodicals, videos, audiotapes and electronic resources for loan and to support pupils' learning within and beyond the curriculum. E-mail and Internet are available to all. Since becoming a specialist Language College the school has developed many facilities, including a 30 station multi-media virtual language laboratory, satellite television in every languages room, interactive whiteboard and video-conferencing. These facilities make the Languages Area one of the best equipped in the North of England.
