It is our aim to
allow every pupil the opportunity to achieve well and to reach their
potential. We offer a broad, balanced
curriculum which meets all statutory requirements, and which reflects our
identity as a Church School, a specialist LanguageCollege and Comprehensive School.
The school
curriculum is reviewed regularly to ensure it is meeting the needs of our
pupils. Recent changes have taken into
account our own self evaluation, our Ofsted report and the 14-19 white paper.
As a large
comprehensive school we seek to offer an appropriate curriculum, particularly
at Key Stage 4, which will encourage and support transition into Sixth Form
education, college courses or the world of work.
Our approach in
school is to work with pupils in order that they achieve well. Ian Ramsey achieves high standards of
attainment at Key Stage 3 and a good GCSE pass rate. We have set ourselves ambitious targets for
2007 and 2008 based on our pupils making real progress during their time with
us.
Our aim is to be
the top performing school in the area.
