Welcome to Ian Ramsey School
A message from the Headteacher: Janet Wilson

Mrs J Wilson
Ian Ramsey is a successful and popular Church of England Voluntary Aided Comprehensive School situated in the Hartburn/Fairfield area of Stockton-on-Tees. Our main feeder Primary Schools are Bowesfield Lane, Hartburn and Holy Trinity although we admit students from a further 20 schools because of our Church of England Status and due to parental preference. We have a distinctive ethos based on Christian values which contributes to high standards, a strong work ethic and self reliance, with a friendly inclusive community spirit.
Ian Ramsey is very much a partnership inviting pupils, parents, staff and governors to work together in a climate of co-operation. Together we offer high standards of teaching and learning and a range of opportunities in a safe caring environment, which will enable all pupils to reach their potential.
The school values your opinion and is keen to respond to you.

I hope this website has stimulated your interest in Ian Ramsey's approach to education. However, there is no substitute for coming along and seeing the School in action. If you visit classrooms, talk to pupils and staff, see the Art and Technology, hear the Music, experience the Drama and generally soak up the School's purposeful atmosphere, I am confident you will see why Ian Ramsey is an oversubscribed school.
If you decide, or have already decided, that Ian Ramsey is the School for you, I look forward to working with you to give your son or daughter the best possible secondary education.
We aim to offer all of our pupils real opportunities and the chance to achieve within a Christian Learning Environment.
