To celebrate PRIDE Month 2024, the Ian Ramsey Pride group hosted a creative writing competition for pupils to commemorate PRIDE month. Well done to Ava for her winning poem:
It’s pride month, time to stand tall,
To show the world I’m proud of it all.
I am me, and that’s enough,
No need to be perfect or tough.
I don’t care if others don’t get it,
I’ll be myself, and I won’t forget it.
Love is love, that’s what I believe,
And I’ll wear my pride like a sleeve!
With every flag that waves so high,
I know it’s okay to be me, no lie.
I’ll hold my head up, smile so wide,
Because I’ve got pride, and I’ve got PRIDE!
