Transition Hub

At Ian Ramsey CE Academy, the pupils are at the heart of every decision that we make, including during Year 6 transition.
 

As part of our transition process, we look to support all pupils who are making the change from Year 6 to Year 7, starting when pupils still attend primary school.

In Philippians 4:6-8, The Bible tells us:

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.’

This embodies our transition provision. We look to support the whole child, in their education, and their mental wellbeing, while they make the changes from a primary setting to a secondary one. We know that transition can be a daunting time for pupils, and their families, and we do everything we can to alleviate concerns for all involved.

Jeremiah tells us in Chapter 29: 11 that:

‘“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’

At Ian Ramsey CE Academy, we work to support children to prosper, to give them hope, and to guide their future.
